Group Of Gunmen Might Be In Abkhazia Close To Russian-georgian Border

Federal Frontier Guard Service director Konstantin Totsky has allerged that a group of some 50 gunmen is staying in Abkhazia some 10 kilometers away from the Russian-Georgian border. This information has come from the Abkhaz leadership, from a report of commanders in the Kodori gorge, said Totsky adding that there are no grounds to question these reports. The recent events in Abkhazia have caused Russian frontier guards to widen the area under their vigilance-once only Ingushetia and Chechnya while now plus the Krasnodar territory, Karachay-Circassia and Kabardino-Balkaria.
