According To The Abkhaz Side's Information, A Group Of Militants Escaped From The Kodorsky Gorge And Is Moving Towards The Russian Border

In small hours of Sunday, a group of militants numbering 50 people escaped from the Kodorsky Gorge and is now moving towards the border of Karachai-Circassia. Tatyana Gulia, a staffer at the permanent representative office of the self-proclaimed Republic of Abkhazia, reported Sunday. She also said that Sunday morning David Tevsadze, Georgia's Defence Minister, arrived in Zugdidi. According to the operational data, the aim of his trip is to check combat readiness of the Georgian Defence Ministry's units stationed in that district. According to Tatyana Gulia, since the resumption of the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict on October 3, the Abkhaz side lost 9 people as dead, and the militants - 40 people. Tatyana Gulia also added that 12 militants had been taken prisoner. They are under investigation now.
