Preparations For Salvaging Kursk's 1st Compartment To Be Launched Soon

Preparatory works on salvaging the first compartment of the Kursk nuclear submarine will be launched in the near future, the Staff of the Northern Fleet reported. According to the Staff's spokesman, special equipment will be used, in particular, for removing the Barents Sea floor ground in the location of the compartment, which had been previously separated from the submarine.
