Land Operation In Afghanistan Is Not In Plan So Far, Geoffrey Hoon

A decision to launch a land operation in Afghanistan has not yet been adopted, Great Britain's Secretary of State for Defense Geoffrey Hoon said Tuesday following a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Ivanov. We are certainly devising detailed plans of the Afghan campaign, with the land operation being also an option. However, a decision on the land operation has not been taken yet, said the British minister.
