Kursk Submarine Raised 22 Metres Above Barents Sea Bottom

The nuclear powered submarine Kursk has been lifted 22 metres above the Barents sea bottom. Igor Dygalo, aide of the Russian Naval Commander-in-Chief, reported that on Monday afternoon the submarine's hull is expected to be raised and fastened to the bottom of the special barge Giant-4. Then the sea tug boats Atrek and Smit Wijs will start towing the Kursk to the coast.
