Chechen Militants To Launch Campaign In Support Of Taliban

Chechen militant ideologists are plotting a propaganda campaign in support of Talibs. Secret services report on a meeting between Muslim, working with the Kavkaz Tsentr news agency, and Chechen militant envoy to foreign countries Abubakar at which discussed were the Afghanistan developments. Muslim and Abubakar are reported to have discussed how to supply the agency with information on what is going on in Afghanistan, statements by and interviews with Taliban leaders, said sources. The sources produced a recording of their conversation. Muslim said in part: "We have signed a treaty with Afghanistan. Chechen mojaheds only are the Afghans' comrades. The Americans' current action is unsubstantiated and is aimed against the Moslem world." Kavkaz Tsentr may launch a campaign in support of the Taliban regime in the next few days, claimed RIA Novosti's interviewees.
