Russian Parliamentarian Opines That A Terrorist Act Caused The Tu-154 Catastrophe

On Thursday in his interview to RIA Novosti Konstantin Kosachov, first deputy leader of the "Fatherland-All Russia" faction in the Russian State Duma, stated that, in his opinion, a terrorist act caused the accident with the TU-154 aircraft. The lower house deputy stated that "to all appearances the tragedy was caused by a terrorist act". Kosachov emphasized that "one might say that the war declared to modern civilization by terrorism was going on". He was sure that "by destroying the Russian flag carrying aircraft terrorists openly challenged our country". Konstantin Kosachov stated that this tragedy once again demonstrated the necessity to intensify international efforts to fight international terrorism and in particular, to intensify cooperation between special services of different countries. The deputy stressed that "we appeal to the leadership of the country to make everything possible to stop the wave of terror".
