Ukraine's Defence Ministry Admits Conducting Anti-aircraft Exercises Thursday, Claims Missiles Were Without Warheads

The anti-aircraft defence troops did conduct exercises Thursday but used no warheads on their missiles, Ukraine's defence ministry told reporters Thursday. The ministry confirmed the exercises were conducted on the eastern coast of the Crimean peninsula, near cape Pobuk. Ukrainian defence minister Aleksander Kuzmuk, however, is known to have reported earlier that the exercises had been scheduled on Thursday but were never carried out.
