Presidential aide Sergei Yastrzhembsky has confirmed that Russia supports an initiative put forward by Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner Alvaro Gil Robles to hold a round-table in Strasbourg to discuss humanitarian problems with representatives of various Chechen clans. While appearing at a press conference at the Ivestia media centre in Tuesday, Yastrzhembsky at the same time stressed that there had so far been no talk of including Aslan Maskhadov's envoys. According to the presidential aide, the round-table will feature those people who were present at the discussion in Strasbourg recently held under the aegis of a joint State Duma - PACE group.
