Examination Confirms Kursk Crew Died Of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Prosecutor General Vladimir Ustinov reported to journalists, Saturday, the examination of the nuclear submarine Kursk carried out by a group of experts proved that all 17 dead seamen found in the sub had died of carbon monoxide poisoning. According to him, visual examination of the sub allowed to conclude that the fire was burning in every part of the submarine. In the epicentre of the fire the temperature reached 8,000 degrees Celsius. The Prosecutor General reported that the submarine was completely filled with water "within 6-7, maximum 8 hours".
