11 Russian Soldiers Injured By Chechen Gunmen

11 soldiers of the Joint Group of Forces were injured by Chechen gunmen last Sunday, according to the Joint Group of Forces' headquarters. Unidentified persons fired automatic rifles and grenade-launchers at a mobile police checkpoint. Five soldiers were wounded and sent to hospital. Two bandits were killed in retaliatory fire. An armoured column was fired at in the same town with four soldiers receiving injures of varied severity. Gunmen fired at an engineer scout patrol near the Novy Sharoi village with one soldier injured and sent to hospital. An armoured column was fired at from tubular grenade launchers in Grozny's Oktyabrsky district with one soldier wounded.
