Russia Provides U.S. With Whereabouts Of Drug Producing Labs In Afghanistan

The Russian side has provided the United States with the whereabouts of drug-producing labs in Afghanistan, located by Russian border guards. Head of the Main HQ of Russia's Federal Frontier Service, Colonel General Nikolai Reznichenko told journalists about this on Thursday. In his words, the information was furnished for the US to deliver air strikes at these labs. The military chief added that there had recently been a shift in the Taleban tactics. It is an attempt to come closer to the Northern Alliance's troops with a view to making it more difficult for the Americans to deliver strikes at them. Reznichenko highly assessed the way Tajikistan implemented the 1993 agreement with Russia on the status of Russia's border units in Tajikistan. In his words, the Tajik side was doing its best to provide for the Russian border guards in the republic. Russians and Tajiks are on friendly terms, stressed the general.
