Seven Russian Servicemen Wounded In Chechnya Over Past 24 Hours

Seven servicemen of the Russian interior ministrty forces have been wounded in Chechnya over the past 24 hours, the staff of the joint group of forces in the North Caucasus reported on Saturday. Officers stated that on Friday an armoured vehicle exploded on a radio-controlled land mine planted in the North-Eastern suburbs of the Martan-Chu village in the Urus-Martan district of Chechnya. The explosion left 6 servicemen wounded. All of them were subsequently rushed to hospitals. Another serviceman stepped on the mine, which had been planted in the same district. The incident occurred during the terrain reconnaissance near the village of Noviy Sharoi. The serviceman was delivered to the hospital. The Staff added that Chechen militants have shot six time at the federal positions over the past 24 hours.
