Three policemen have been killed and 10 police officers and Defence Ministry servicemen injured in gunmen's attacks on federal troops' positions over the past 24 hours, according to the army press-centre. Unidentified culprits shot automatic weapons at policemen while they were trying to check their IDs. The incident took place in Belorechye (Gudermes district) at around 14.00 Moscow time. Three policemen were killed and nine soldiers and policemen injured in the skirmish. Four gunmen were killed by return fire. Four Kalashnikov rifles and two pistols with silencers were confiscated on the scene. Unknown culprits shot underbarrel grenade-launchers at a police office on the Gudermes railway station. The officer on duty was injured and sent to hospital.
