Five Die In Explosion At Coal Mine In North Of Russia

Five workers died and twelve were wounded in a gas explosion at the Vorkutinskaya mine in the Komi republic of Russia. The wounded workers were taken to the hospital with burns, the health condition of two of them was estimated as grave. The press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported that all workers who were in the mine when the explosion went off were evacuated. 51 people are working at the site of the accident to eliminate the consequences of the explosion. An investigation has been started.
