Five Servicemen Die In Land Mine Blast In Chechen Capital

Five servicemen died in an explosion caused by a land mine in Grozny, the capital of the Chechen republic, a source in the Chechen Interior Ministry reported to RBC. The blast went off when a federal convoy was going down the street where the land mine was planted. Another attack on a federal convoy consisting of armored troop carriers took place on the same day. Chechen rebels planted a land mine and open fired on the convoy when the mine went off. One serviceman died in this clash.
