Life Conditions Of Afghan People Improve Slowly

Life conditions of the Afghan people are gradually improving, says the report of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) published in Austria on Tuesday. According to USAID Administrator Andrew Natsios, the international humanitarian assistance helped reduce the number of people starving to death. However, the majority of the starving live in Kandahar, Afghanistan's south, and Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan's north. According to USAID data, about 12 million Afghans are suffering from starvation and other consequences of the war with 7 million being in a very hard condition. They live in Hazardjat, Afghan central region, with an extremely severe winter.
