Russian Governmental Commission To Discuss Restoration Work In Chechnya

On Wednesday the House of the Russian Government will host a regular meeting of the governmental commission on the restoration of Chechen economy and social sphere. Vice-Premier Viktor Khristenko and Minister Vladimir Yelagin will preside over the meeting, the governmental apparatus told RIA Novosti. The commission is to consider the reports on the restoration work in 2001 and the forecasts for the implementation of the Federal target programme on the restoration of Chechen economy and social sphere. In addition, the commission will consider the project of rendering state assistance to the Russian citizens who lost their houses and property during the counter-terrorist operations in Chechnya. The discussion of the refugees' home-coming and their temporary staying in Ingushetia in winter 2001-2002 is also on the agenda. The commission will also consider the development of measures on the restoration of Chechen economy and social sphere in 2002.
