Suspected Member Of Bandit Formations Detained At Russian-georgian Border

On Wednesday, a citizen of Ukraine, 37, was detained by Russian frontier-guards at the check-point Verkhny Lars at the border with Georgia on suspicion of membership of illegal armed formation. The press service of the North Caucasus regional department of the Russian Federal Frontier Service, while examining the border transgressor, the frontier-guards found and confiscated from him a note-book with instructions for making weapons and explosives, and a uniform. Evidently, the detainee has been taking part in military operations. This year, more than a hundred citizens from different countries have been detained at Russia's southern rims. All of them were members of Chechen illegal armed units.
