Three Terrorists Have Been Detained in Grozny

The police detained three members of a bandit group in Grozny.

According to information obtained in the regional operative headquarters of the anti-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus, during the investigation, the operatives established that all three terrorists participated in destroying two vehicles that belonged to federal troops.

The police gathered enough evidence to prove that in September 2001 the detained terrorists blew up an APC from the Interior Ministry military unit in Zavodskoy district of Grozny. The driver was killed and tree soldiers were seriously wounded.

In January 2002, in the Chernorechye settlement, in the Grozny suburbs, the terrorists blew up a "Ural" truck that carried police officers. Several people were seriously wounded.

At the present time, the police is continuing to gather additional evidence of the involvement of the detained bandits in other possible crimes.
