Details of terrorist act in Grozny

More rescue teams are arriving at the site of the terrorist act in Grozny.

According to information given to RIA Novosti by officer-on-duty in the Russian Ministry of Emergencies, presently, there are 70 rescue workers at the site of the terrorist act near the Chechen government building, and soon they'll be joined by more rescue workers from Ingushetia (Russian republic neighboring on Chechnya).

Several medical teams are also working at the site.

"We are doing everything possible to help the victims," said the officer-on-duty. Chief Federal Inspector for Chechnya Imran Vakhapov is among the wounded. He suffered a concussion. So far, the rescuers counted 12 dead and many wounded.

At about 14:30 Moscow time two trucks loaded with approximately a ton of explosives drove through the fence around the Chechen Government building in Grozny and exploded. It's assumed that they were driven by suicide-terrorists.
