A suspected Chechen bandit detained on Russo-Azerbaijani border

A Chechen citizen, suspected of involvement in the illegal armed formations, was detained on Sunday in Dagestan on the Russo-Azerbaijani border. The examination showed that the suspect had traces of gunshot wounds on his body, which aroused suspicions of the border-guards. The arrested Chechen was handed over to the Dagestani law-enforcers for further inspection.

According to the local border guards, since the beginning of the current year they have arrested about 30 Chechen terrorists. Some 16,000 units of ammunition, 170-odd kilos of explosives and some 3 kilos of drugs were confiscated from detained persons.
