Russian military aircraft bomb Ukraine's foreign legion base near Bakhmut

Russian Aerospace Forces launched a missile and bomb attack targeting a base of the foreign legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Bakhmut (the Russian name of the city is Artemovsk), Vadim Astafiev, the head of the press centre of the Southern Group of Forces announced this on Telegram.

Military aircraft of the Southern Group of Forces carried out rocket and bomb attacks on the point of temporary deployment of the 54th Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​the settlement of Verkhnekamenskoye, the point of temporary deployment of the foreign legion and the concentration of the reserve of the 24th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​the settlement of Toretsk, as well as on the command and observation post of the 110th Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Avdiivka.

Radiation, chemical and biological protection unit of the motorised rifle formation of the Southern Military District struck the platoon stronghold of the 53rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Vodyanoe. The attack was conducted with the use of the Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system, Astafiev said.
