Luhansk militia capture nationalist fighters from Belarus

The People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) managed to capture members of the sabotage and reconnaissance group from the Belarusian nationalist battalion Volat, TASS reports with reference to the Assistant Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic Vitaly Kiselyov.

The saboteurs were captured in the village of Volcheyarovka, which is located near the town of Popasnaya.

A representative for the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the Belarusians arrived in Donbass as volunteers in 2014. The official did not disclose the number of detainees. No other circumstances of their capture were revealed either.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko reported that fighters of the volunteer regiment named after Kastus Kalinouski (who fought on Kyiv's side) came under artillery fire. At least 20 people were killed, he said.
