Russia repulses Ukrainian attack on hydroelectric power station in Kherson

Russian air defense systems repulsed the attack of the Ukrainian forces on the hydroelectric power station in Nova Kakhovka. This was announced by the head of the administration of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo, reports RIA Novosti.

“The consequences of the destruction of such a facility could be catastrophic for residents of the Kherson region,” said Saldo.

According to him, Russian air defense forces successfully repulsed the attack and prevented the hydroelectric power station from being disabled. The enterprise continues to generate energy.

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Kherson Region Kirill Stremousov said that on the morning of July 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile attack on the hydroelectric power station (HPP) in Nova Kakhovka.
