Shopping centre on massive fire in Kremenchug, Ukraine

In Kremenchug, a shopping center is on fire. The fire has engulfed the entire building of the shopping centre (about 10,000 square meters) as a result of the rocket strike. There were more than a thousand people staying inside at the moment of the attack, Ukrainian President Zelensky said.

Representatives for the Poltava region said that at least ten were killed.

"In Kremenchuk, Poltava region, a shopping center is on fire, there were more than a thousand people inside," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.

"The mall is on fire, rescuers are extinguishing the fire, the number of victims is unimaginable,” Zelensky wrote.

According to Dmitry Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, two were killed and 20 wounded. Later, Lunin said that the death toll climbed to ten.

"Currently, the fire area in the building is 10,300 square meters. Over 115 firefighters are extinguishing the fire, a fire train was sent to the site of the emergency.

The fire engulfed Amstor shopping center. The centre is located 300 meters from the railway station.
