Ilyushin Il-76 military aircraft crashes near households in Russia's Ryazan

Four people were killed in the crash of the Ilyushin Il-76 military aircraft in the Ryazan region of Russia.

According to local authorities, five others were injured in the crash — they were hospitalized with various injuries. Doctors assess the condition of the victims as stable.

The Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft crashed in the area of ​​​​Mikhailovskoye Highway in the city of Ryazan in the morning of June 24. A fire broke out at the crash site, the aircraft damaged power lines in the crash. Several districts were left without electricity. The aircraft crashed in a field near households.

The Il-76 was bound from Orenburg to Belgorod. It made a stop in Ryazan for refueling.
