Russian Kalibr missiles kill nearly 60 Ukrainian generals and officers during work meeting

About 57 Ukrainian officers and general killed in Russian Kalibr missile attack

More than 50 senior Ukrainian officers responsible for the southern front were killed in an attack with the use of Russian Kalibr missiles. The attack targeted command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

According to Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the Military and Civilian Administration of the Zaporozhye region, Russia launched sea-based Kalibr missiles to strike a command post of Ukrainian troops near the village of Shirokaya Dacha. The attack was conducted at the moment when a work meeting of the command staff was conducted. Dozens of Ukrainian generals and mid-level officers were killed.

"There's huge panic. I know what is happening from the inside. (…) There are about 57 senior officers — generals, several colonels, lieutenant colonels and so on,” said Rogov.

Earlier, he called on the Russian leadership to take control of all the eastern regions of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions. According to Rogov, there will be a transport corridor established there to link the regions with Moscow.
