Il-76 waterbomber with 11 on board disappears in Irkutsk

An Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft of the Russian EMERCOM disappeared on July 1 in the Irkutsk region with 11 passengers on board, a source at the emergency services said.
"According to preliminary data, there can be up to 11 people on board, all of them are the crew," officials said.
The plane was conducting the works to extinguish forest fires in the region. For the time being, the whereabouts of the aircraft remain unknown. The plane disappeared in hard to reach area; up to 450 people conduct the search and rescue operation.
