Al-Qaeda urges 'lone wolves of Jihad' to explode passenger planes

The UK police launched investigation into appeals to "lone wolves of Jihad" to explode aircraft of British Airways and EasyJet airlines. 

British police and intelligence agencies of the United Kingdom conduct an investigation in connection with an appeal addressed to "lone wolves of Jihad" to explode passenger planes of British Airways and EasyJet with the use of improvised explosive devices. The appeal was published on the website of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

According to the The Daily Mail, Al-Qaeda urged supporters to "collect bombs in kitchens" and bring them on board. As an example, the authors of the message refer to the case of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who wanted to blow up a plane en route Amsterdam-Detroit in 2009, but was neutralized and later sentenced to life imprisonment, Rosbalt reports.
