Two Ukrainian APCs enter Russian territory

On June 13, two armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces entered the territory of the Russian Federation. The engine of one of the vehicles failed.  

Russian border guards tried to take appropriate actions, but the second APC approached, pointed the gun on the Russian border guards gun and took the Ukrainian servicemen away.

This episode of the invasion of the Ukrainian army continued to develop afterwards. A military helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force entered Russian airspace. The helicopter was armed with missiles. The helicopter was downed with the use of air defense forces.

Russia has responded to the incident immediately. "We regard such actions of the Ukrainian side as a gross violation of fundamental rules of international law, as an illegal act that will not contribute to peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in the South-East of Ukraine," the statement from the department said. In addition, Russia sent a note of protest to Kiev.

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Foreign Ministry to make a demarche following the incident on the Russian-Ukrainian border.
