Senior scientific officer with the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Boris Dolgov, in an interview with Pravda.Ru commented the recent statement from U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who said that Arab countries offered a good price for the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad as a result of military operations.

"Yes, Kerry said that, he did not specify the countries, though, but one can imagine which countries he is talking about. We know that Qatar and Saudi Arabia support an attack on Syria. Perhaps there are others ... And , of course, such a statement is nonsense," Boris Dolgov said.

According to the expert, this has not happened in recent history, not even in history in general that someone could pay for a military strike. " It is more like a gangster deal," he said.
