Adly Mansour becomes Egypt's interim leader

Sixty-eight-year-old Adly Mansour, who took oath as acting president of Egypt, stated that he was elected by people to correct the mistakes made in the course of the revolution in Egypt two years ago.

Mansour will stay at the helm before early elections, the date of which has not been set yet.

On July 3^rd, the military leadership of Egypt announced that Morsi was no longer president. Later, the head of the Constitutional Court of the country, Adly Mansour was appointed the interim leader. Morsi currently remains in custody.

As many as 30 people have been killed in Egypt as a result of the recent riots that took place in several regions of the country. More than 300 warrants to arrest members of the Muslim Brotherhood party have been issued. Two leaders of the Islamic movement, who were arrested at night during a coup, were put in a prison near Cairo, former President Hosni Mubarak stays.

The leader of the Freedom and Justice Party, Saad al-Katatni ,and deputy spiritual leader of the movement, Rashad Bayyumi, were arrested on Thursday night after receiving relevant orders from the leadership of the Interior Ministry.

They can be charged with inciting hatred and violence, as well as with deliberate weakening of the security system in the country. Currently, the Egyptian police are looking for a several other leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood.
