US faces another powerful storm after Sandy

Following Hurricane Sandy, the United States may face another disaster. According to weather forecasts, another storm may strike the Sandy-ravaged stated on Wednesday, after the presidential election.

The new storm was formed on Tuesday, November 6, off the south-eastern U.S. coast, east off South Carolina and Georgia, in the Atlantic Ocean. The storm is to reach the U.S. East Coast on Wednesday, November 7. The weather will worsen on the entire coast and inland areas - heavy snowfalls and rain showers are possible.  

The new storm will be considerably weaker than Sandy, but it will pose a very serious danger too. According to BaltInfo, wind gusts may reach 70 km/h. New York and New Jersey will find themselves in the affected area.

Meanwhile, New York is still recovering from Sandy. Authorities try to accommodate everyone who have been left without homes in shelters. According to various estimates, there are up to 40,000 such people.

Superstorm Sandy struck the eastern United States on Tuesday night, on October 30. The storm caused serious damage to the states of New Jersey and New York and killed dozens of people.
