Famous Russian actress killed in car accident in Moscow

A famous Russian actress Marina Golub was killed in a car accident that took place on Wednesday night in the west of Moscow. She was 54 years old.

Four cars collided on the intersection of Vernadsky Prospekt and Lobachevsky Street in Moscow: a Lada, a Kia, a Hyundai and a Cadillac. As told by witnesses, the driver of one of the cars was speeding along the road. Having ignored the red traffic light, he flew onto the intersection, where the vehicle crashed into three other cars, Rosbalt said. Two people were killed in the Hyundai car.

The impact was so strong that rescuers had to take quite an effort to take the male driver and the female passenger out of the smashed car. One of the victims was identified this morning. According to RBC, it was Marina G. Golub, a well-known actress. The actress was in the back seat of the Korean-made car, into which Cadillac crashed. The Hyundai driver has not been identified yet. Reportedly, the actress flagged down the car to get home.

Marina Golub was born in 1957. She worked at a number of well-known theaters in Moscow, played in many TV shows and hosted several TV programs, Vesti.ru reports.
