Group of armed separatists arrested in Chechnya's Naursky district

In Chechnya's Naursky district, officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Russian interior ministry arrested a group of armed separatists, reported the headquarters of the United Federal Troops stationed in the North Caucasus.

During an operation conducted on Monday, the law enforcers had stopped a Zhiguli car with ones Kasumov and Buluyev - both residents of Argun - and ones Abdulkadyrov and Magomedkhadzhiyev from the village of Sayasan, Chechnya's Nozhai-Yurt district.

The militants had with them three AKS-74 assault rifles with underbarrel grenade launchers, three IZh-70 pistols, and a TT pistol. According to the interior ministry's information, all four men are active members of illegal armed units. The law enforcers have launched an investigation and are checking into the militants' involvement in terrorist acts on the territory of Chechnya.
