Truck loaded with 20 tons of beer falls off bridge in Russia

A Volvo truck loaded with tons of beer, veered off a bridge and crashed onto railway tracks in Russia's Sverdlovsk region.

The accident took place on the outskirts of the city of Nizhny Tagil. The truck driver had the driving experience of 18 years. The man did not set the correct speed of the movement. He could not steer the vehicle and ran into the bridge safety barrier, Regnum reports.

The driver was hospitalized with bone fractures and brain concussion.

"At 10:30 a.m., the vehicle was loaded with 20 tons of beer at a brewing factory in Yekaternburg. The truck was bound for Nizhny Tagil. The driver said that there were some steering control problems, but the police believe that he had fallen asleep while driving," officials said.

A curious incident took place in Moscow. The Moscow police were chasing the driver of a Jeep Grand Cehrokee vehicle. The man was staying in a state of alcoholic intoxication and was wearing the uniform of a road police officer. The officer committed a series of car accidents and fled from the scene, Arguments of the Week said.

The first accident took place at 3:33 p.m. near Building 11 on Khoroshovskoye Shosse. The driver of the Grand Cherokee rammed into Nissan and VAZ vehicles and fled the scene.

The police found the SUV and started chasing it, but the driver did not react to the requirements to stop. Afterwards, he rammed into a Chevrolet car. The police had to use service guns to detain the perpetrator.

The 30-year-old man was drunk. He was wearing the jacket of a road police officer, but claimed that he was not serving for internal affairs agencies.
