Bin Laden Says "Hi" to American President

The your of 2010 won't pass under the "World without terrorist  Bin Laden" sign as he remembers him to the Americans.

Al Qaida leader Osama Bin Laden has issued a new audio message claiming responsibility for the Christmas day bombing attempt in Detroit and vowed further attacks.

In a message carried by the Al Jazeera Arabic news channel, Bin Laden addressed President Barak Obama saying there would be no peace for America unless there was security for Palestinians.

He described the attempt by Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to detonate a bomb on plane on Christmas day as a "confirmation" of previous attacks, including September 11.

He promised further attacks if the US continued to support Israel.

On Christmas Day, Nigerian national Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attemped to blow up the Northwest Airlines flight he was sitting on as it approached Detroit Metro Airport. But the bomb he was hiding in his underwear failed to explode.

Abdulmutallab told federal agents shortly afterward that he had been trained and instructed in the plot by al Qaida operatives in Yemen.

There was no way to confirm the voice was actually that of Bin Laden, but it resembled previous recordings attributed to him.

The Press Association has contributed to the report.
