  The train crash on the Orient Express line in Thailand early Monday  left 10 people dead and 50  injured. The accident occured during heavy rains  near a popular seaside resort, a medical official said.

   The train derailed before dawn near Hua Hin on the Gulf of Thailand, said Chatree Charoencheewakun, director of the Emergency Medical Institute of Thailand.

    Medical teams were rushing to the scene to help those  among alives  who may have been injured.

   The train was traveling from the southern city of Trang to Bangkok when the accident occurred. About six of the train's 16 cars derailed.

  The crash, which killed 10 including a two-year-old girl, is thought to have been caused by a points failure, according to the Associated Press'  report.
