As an American, I'm embarrassed for our country when Pravda is more accurate than the New York Times

The writer of this story was diligent in pursuing the details of the story. At least somebody is doing the close work of comparing official statements with established facts. That used to be a minimal expectation, but now it's rare to see it. As an American, I'm embarrassed for our country when Pravda is more accurate than the New York Times. I remember when Ronald Reagan visited Russia and met with students. The students were amazed that such an ignorant man was the head of state! I am very disappointed in the New York Times, especially since I depend on it so much. The transmitters that used to be on top of the World Trade Center have not been replaced, so I haven't had television since September 11. I've decided not to pay for cable since television is mostly propaganda anyhow. But there's no escape from government bullshit, is there? What an awful feeling.
