France hopes to lift sanctions from Russia by summer 2016

French Minister for Economy Emmanuel Macron said that France was hoping to lift sanctions from Russia by the summer of 2016.

Macron, speaking in Moscow before French entrepreneurs, stated that "our common goal is to ensure the opportunity to lift sanctions by the summer of this year, if the provisions of the Minsk Accord are implemented."

On January 25, 2016, Moscow is hosting the XXI session of the Russian-French Economic, Financial, Industrial and Trade Council for the first time in three  years, TASS reports. 

Officials as the French Embassy in the Russian Federation reported that the meeting would be devoted to the implementation of joint projects in the areas of energy, space and aviation, transport and road construction, nuclear energy, as well as prospects of cooperation in the sphere of innovation and cooperation with small and medium-sized businesses," RIA Novosti reports.
