As many as 800 new jobs to appear in Nizhny Novgorod

A ceremony to open a new factory of Danieli Volga company took place in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The factory will produce and service metallurgical equipment. Governor Valery Shantsev attended the event.

"Metallurgy is one of the main industries in the Russian Federation. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, it takes about 15 percent of entire production. Obviously, purchasing equipment from abroad against the background of the fluctuating dollar rate and shaking economy is very risky. With this production in Russia, one will be able to hope for a large volume of orders. Danieli Volga already has orders from St. Petersburg and Lipetsk," said Valery Shantsev.

The head of the region said that as soon as the factory reaches full production capacity, it will provide for the appearance of 800 new jobs. Today, the average salary of company employees is about 30,000 rubles a month ($900), which stipulates good contributions to the regional budget.

"High tax payments to the budget will allow us to implement ambitious social programs," governor Shantsev summed up.

The factory opening was timed to the Investor Day, which the Nizhny Novgorod marks on February 12. On this day, 12 vocational education institutions held special events with the participation of representatives of leading industrial companies of the region.
