Ivanovo region and RusLine discuss cooperation

On October 23, the governor of the Ivanovo region, Mikhail Men, had a meeting with the administration of the Russian airline RusLine. Officials of the airline set out their intention to take part in the contest for conducting passenger transportation from Ivanovo Airport next year.

According to Michael Men, Rusline is ready to carry out regular flights on board Bombardier CRJ 100/200 aircraft that seats 50 passengers.

"For us, this is a very important proposal, because the airport of Ivanovo has long required a large aircraft. According to airport services, today tickets for eight-seated Dexter aircraft get sold out quickly, passengers complain about the lack of tickets," said the governor.

RusLine CEO Michael Uryvaev said at the work meeting with the head of the region that the airline specializes in regional flights on the territory of the Russian Federation. According to him, over the past six months, the company has conducted more than 7,000 flights. Compared with 2009, the passenger traffic has increased by more than four times and made up 421,000 people as of the end of 2011.
