Nizhny Novgorod attracts foreign specialists

Last year, 51 foreign citizens received work permits in the Nizhny Novgorod region as highly qualified specialist. Experts predict that the number of foreign specialists will be growing.

Last year, as many as 10,000 highly skilled foreign professionals moved to Russia in total. Eleven foreigners arrived in the Nizhny Novgorod region during the first month of 2012.

Highly professional specialists enjoy preferences among other foreigners. For example, they have a right for simplified visa procedures. They also receive residence permits faster than others.

Russia's Foreign Ministry spokesman in Nizhny Novgorod, Sergey Malov,  believes that in the near future the number of foreign specialists in the region will grow several times in connection with ongoing projects of "GAZ Group" in conjunction with a number of foreign companies (Volkswagen, Skoda, General Motors, and others), Vremya N said.
