Luidor opens new bus-assembly facility

In the beginning of March, Valery Shantsev, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, attended the opening of a new facility for the production of small class buses and special vehicles produced by Luidor Company. As many as 200 people received new jobs thanks to the project.

"The company provided jobs, fine equipment, a decent level of labor productivity and wages of about 30,000 rubles a month ($1,000). In addition, all employees are trained in modern training centers. Only qualified workers are able to make high-quality products", said Valery Shantsev.

According to Luidor Director General Sergei Kornilov, the regional government approved the construction of the second and third stages of production.

"Today, Valery Shantsev set a goal to consider an opportunity of placing our company in other municipalities in the region. The development of our company proves that the investment policy of the region defined by the governor is absolutely correct," said Sergey Kornilov.

According to News-NN, a new production workshop is the first phase of the complex, which is being built in the town of Balakhna. A second, 3,200 m2 facility, is being built next to the workshop. The other workshop will be used for the production of bus seats and automotive components. Its launch is scheduled for June 2012. Luidor's investment in the project will total about 200 million rubles. The orders for the vehicles have already arrived from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Belgorod.

According to the head of the Committee for Economy, Industry and Business Support of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Mikhail Gaponov, Nizhny Novgorod region is an example of efficient development of the region with diversified economy. 

"The region has fine, well-structured, sound economics. It is mixed, freed from dependence on raw materials. It has various types of ownership as well as directions of development of individual sectors. I am convinced that the Nizhny Novgorod region is an example of how one can be one of the leaders in everything without exploiting hydrocarbon reserves," said Mikhail Gaponov.

In addition, Shantsev paid a work visit to the primary vascular department of the central district hospital in the town of Semyonov.

The personnel of the hospital demonstrated the new computed tomography scanner to the governor. The machine was acquired within the scope of the healthcare modernization program.

"Equipping district hospitals with all necessary equipment is a priority goal. There are about 100,000 people living in these districts, and owing to this device, doctors will be able to determine exact causes of," said Shantsev.
