On national television the father of the 6-year-old Falcon Heene, who is at the center of the runaway balloon saga, were asked during separate TV interviews what he meant about his comment that "we did this for a show." Meanwhile, his son got sick twice.
During an ABC interview, Falcon Heene said Friday: "Mom, I feel like I'm going to vomit." He then left the room with his mother and could be heard gagging.
During a live interview on NBC shown simultaneously, Falcon threw up into a container when his father was answering the same question.
Falcon vanished around the time that a homemade helium balloon floated away from his home, setting off a national uproar as authorities scoured the plains of northern Colorado for the youngster, The Associated Press reports.
It was aslo reported, a segment between six-year-old Falcoln Heene’s family and CNN’s Wolf Blitzer last night has fueled skepticism over the “balloon boy” incident. We all let out a collective sigh of relief when, after hours of watching a foil balloon we were told the boy had crawled into sail across the Colorado landscape, Falcon was later discovered safe and sound in his attic, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Meanwhile, fortunately, we didn't have to wait long for the rest of the story because the family — the entire family, fresh from hours of trauma — would soon come out to meet the press. They would tell of the 3D-LAV (low-altitude vehicle) and how someone hadn't tethered it properly and how one brother had said — as mom and dad were yelling at each other — that Falcon was in the balloon, except, it turned out, that he wasn't, Denver Post reports.
