Macaulay Culkin was not "Saved" from jail

FORMER Hollywood golden boy Macaulay Culkin added to his string of growing pains yesterday when he was jailed for possessing marijuana and drugs without prescription.

Culkin, famous for the 1990 film Home Alone -- which helped make the then 10-year-old the highest-paid child actor in history -- was arrested when police found the &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/society/2003/02/20/43542.html' target=_blank>drugs during a traffic stop in Oklahoma.

About 17grams of &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/main/18/90/360/11955_marihuana.html' target=_blank>marijuana was found in a car in which Culkin, now 24, was a passenger, police said in an incident report.

Officers allegedly also found 16mg of Xanax and 32mg of Clonazepam, prescription drugs used for anxiety, wrote Melbourne Herald Sun.

According to the Telegraph News, Culkin was released on $4,000 bail on Friday, after spending two hours in &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/yougoslavia/2002/04/19/27782.html' target=_blank>custody. Culkin, who recently starred in the movies Saved!" and "Party Monster" did not talk to reporters when he left the jail.

According to the arrest report, an Oklahoma City police officer pulled over a car speeding along an interstate. Culkin was a passenger in the car driven by a man from New York.

The officer asked Culkin and the driver to step out of the car after the driver, identified as Brett M. Tabisel, had given the officer permission to search the vehicle. The pair said they were driving from New York to Los Angeles, according to the report.
