US forces death toll in Iraq reaches 1000

The number of American military men killed during the military operation in Iraq has reached a thousand people on Tuesday. The information about the losses of the US forces was received from AP. US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told reporters Tuesday that terrorists, proponents of the overthrown regime and perpetrators were responsible for attacks against the coalition forces in Iraq. Air Force General Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, stated that the enemy's actions were becoming more and more sophisticated. The two officials, however, expressed their certainty of the successful completion of the military operation in Iraq and the gradual normalization of life in the country.
