Ukraine's parliament has decided to examine at its Tuesday's plenary meeting the issue of the Cabinet's responsibility. Of the 407 MPs present, 268 voted in favour of putting the issue on the agenda of the session and 26 voted against it, while the pro-government factions Batkovshchina, Ukrainsky Narodny Rukh, Reformy-Kongress and Solidarity abstained from voting. After the vote, representatives of the above factions blocked the platform. Parliament's first vice-speaker, Viktor Medvedchuk, was compelled to announce a break for consultations. In the meantime, MP Dmitry Tabachnik, a member of the Trudovaya Ukraina party, told journalists that the faction of the party, the second largest after the communists, had unambiguously expressed itself on the fate of the Cabinet, whose resignation it considers to be inevitable.
