Russia will represent the CIS states at the 4th World Investment Forum in Geneva scheduled for January 28th-31st. According to head of the budget, tax and investment policy department of the CIS Executive Committee Vyacheslav Komarov, the forum will be an exhibition showing the investment projects of practically all world countries.
The task of the exhibition is to familiarize major international investors, including the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as private entrepreneurs with real investment projects in the economic sphere.
Komarov pointed out that Russia would, for a second time, participate in the world investment forum. In 2002, it exhibited 60 projects at the investment exhibition to the sum of $4 million.
In 2003, Russia and the CIS Executive Committee, which will represent at the exhibition 12 CIS countries, will offer 150 projects to investors to the tune of $6 million.
